Edit points and curves
Reshape corners, bend shopfronts, split an edge and recover a straight outline using the actual editing controls.
Read the point and curve handles · B
- Select the space, wall or path you want to reshape.
- Choose Edit points & curves or press B. Handles appear only on the selected object.
- Drag a square point to change a corner, wall endpoint or path endpoint. Drag a round edge handle to bend the edge between its two endpoints.
- Square point
Moves a corner and carries its neighbouring curve controls with it.
- Round edge handle
Bends an edge while keeping its two endpoints in place.
- Point or edge selector
Select the exact boundary element, then use Add point, Remove point or Straighten edge.

Drag the round handle or use the bend control in this practice example. Add point splits the curve without changing its outline. Removing the added point joins the remaining endpoints with a straight edge, just like the studio.
Add or remove a point
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Double-click a polygon edge | Adds a point where you clicked. |
| Select an edge, then Add point | Splits that edge with a new point. An existing curve keeps its shape. |
| Select a polygon point, then Remove point or Delete | Removes the point and joins its neighbours with a straight edge. |
| Select a curved edge, then Straighten edge | Removes the bend while retaining the two end points. |
| Undo | Restores the previous point or curve edit. |
Exercise: curve a shopfront
- Draw a rectangle with the Space preset. Select it and press B.
- Choose the front edge in Selected point or edge, or click its round handle.
- Drag that handle a short distance outwards. Hold Alt if nearby snap targets interfere.
- Open the live 3D preview to check the result. If the curve crosses another edge, make a smaller adjustment.
- Choose Straighten edge to compare, then Undo to restore the curve. Save the version you want.
The same bending workflow works on wall and path sections. Their width follows the curve, and joins with connected sections are recalculated. Road centre dashes follow the bend too.
Keyboard control and shape limits
- Choose a point or edge from the selector, focus the canvas, and nudge it with ↑ / ↓ / ← / →. Shift uses a larger step.
- Press S or Escape to return to ordinary selection.
- Each drag is one undo step. Moving, resizing or duplicating the whole object preserves its curves.
- For an existing shape with holes, the selector also exposes its hole boundaries. A hole must stay inside its parent shape.
- Self-intersections and collapsed outlines are rejected. If an edit fails, use a smaller move or a different point.
