Place trees and decorations

Add low-poly trees, shrubs, planters and benches with one tool, then adjust their size, rotation and position.

Choose and place a decoration · D

  1. Choose the floor you want to decorate.
  2. Select Decoration or press D. Choose an object from the Decoration type picker.
  3. Click on the map to place it. The tool stays active, so you can keep clicking to place more of the same object.
  4. Choose another type in the picker to mix decorations. Press S or Escape to return to Select when finished.
ObjectUse it for
Leafy treeBroad tree canopies beside paths or around outdoor spaces.
Pine treeTall, pointed trees and evergreen planting.
ShrubLow planting along boundaries and around entrances.
PlanterContained greenery in courtyards, plazas and seating areas.
BenchSeating beside walkways and gathering spaces.

Decorations use simple footprints in the drawing canvas and low-poly 3D models in the preview. Use grid, point or edge snapping to line them up; hold Alt while placing to bypass snapping. Add at centre creates a decoration without clicking the canvas.

Adjust size, rotation and position

  1. Press S and select a decoration on the canvas or in Objects. Open Details if its properties panel is hidden.
  2. Drag it to move it, or enter X and Y in Geometry. With the canvas focused, arrow keys nudge the selected object.
  3. Set Height to scale the whole model. Use Rotation to turn it, particularly when aligning a bench with a path.
  4. Adjust Colour, Elevation and Floor as needed. Elevation sets the base above the floor; check it when placing an object on a raised surface.

Use Object in Geometry to change an existing decoration’s type. This applies the new type’s starting height and colour. You can then adjust those values again. Use Duplicate or Ctrl / ⌘ + D to copy a decoration with your chosen settings; move the copy into place.

To remove a decoration, select it and press Delete or use the delete button. Undo restores it.

Check the 3D result and save

Keep entrances, paths and place labels easy to see from the visitor’s camera angle. Use Visible in visitor preview to show or hide a selected decoration. Save the draft and publish when the changes are ready for visitors.

Decorations provide visual context and do not have place details, labels or selectable visitor cards. Use a POI marker for a destination visitors need to search for or select.
